CMT · WRITE FOR US · GUEST CONTRIBUTOR GUIDELINES

Concierge Medicine Today is the industry's independent trade publication — written by physicians and practitioners, for physicians and practitioners. If you have real-world insight on concierge or membership medicine, we want to review your submission for potential publication.

WHO WE PUBLISH

Our readers are physicians. Our best contributors are too.

CMT publishes primarily (not always) practitioner-driven content written by people with direct, real-world experience in concierge and membership-based medicine. The most valued contributions come from physicians who have built something, solved a real problem, or learned something the hard way — and are willing to share it honestly.

WHAT FITS CMT — AND WHAT DOESN'T

WE'RE LOOKING FOR THIS

  • Solutions-focused, practical takeaways physicians can use

  • Original content written solely by you

  • Exclusive to CMT — not published elsewhere

  • 500–2,000 words in AP style

  • Submitted as a Word document

✕ NOT A FIT FOR CMT

  • Press releases or product announcements

  • Syndicated content used across multiple publications

  • Promotional content for a specific vendor or service

  • Content written by AI, ghostwriters, or digital tools

  • Scholarly or clinical journal-style articles with endnotes

  • Images or graphics you don't own the rights to use

Important: AI-generated content is not accepted.

CMT requires that all submitted content be written solely by the credited author — not generated by AI tools, ghostwriters, or digital writing assistants. Submissions suspected of AI generation will not be published. If you have questions about this policy, contact the Editor's Desk before submitting.

SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS — READ BEFORE YOU WRITE

CONTENT

Length & format

500–2,000 words. AP style. Written in a tone similar to Time Magazine, Outside Magazine, or USA Today — not a clinical journal. Submit as a Microsoft Word document (.docx). No double spaces between sentences.

STRUCTURE

Headline, subhead & citations

Suggest a headline and subhead — CMT reserves the right to edit or replace them. Include all citations inline or as links at the end of the article. No endnotes or footnotes. Optional: submit a brief abstract (500–1,500 words) alongside the full article.

ADVERTISING

Editorial vs. paid content

Guest articles are editorial contributions — not advertisements. Vendor contributions are welcome provided content is neutral and does not promote a specific product or service. If you are interested in paid advertising with CMT, contact us separately.

ORIGINALITY

Exclusivity required

Submissions must be original, exclusive to CMT, and written solely by the credited author. No AI tools. No ghostwriters. No syndicated content. CMT does not publish content that has appeared or will appear elsewhere.

AUTHOR

Bio, credentials & photo

Include relevant credentials (MD, DO, PhD, MPH, MBA, JD) and a 1–2 sentence bio for publication at the end of your article. A headshot is encouraged but not required. You must own 100% rights to any photo submitted. CMT is not liable for copyright claims on submitted images.

LANGUAGE

Terminology

Use "physicians" and "other clinicians" when referring to healthcare professionals. Use the term "providers" sparingly. CMT is a physician-first publication and language choices reflect that standard.

If you've got something worth saying, we'd like to read it.

CMT exists because physicians and practitioners in this field are willing to share what they've learned. That generosity is what makes this community worth being part of. Every strong article we publish makes the next physician's decision a little clearer.

Your article doesn't need to be perfect. It needs to be honest, practical, and written from real experience. We'll work with strong submissions editorially — we won't rewrite from scratch, but we will help good ideas land well.

There are no set publication deadlines for online submissions. If your article is approved, publication timing is at editorial discretion. Due to submission volume, contributors will not be notified of release dates. Only accepted submissions receive a response.

By submitting, you confirm that the content is original, written solely by you, has not been AI-generated, and is exclusive to CMT. You also accept all liability for any images or graphics included. Submission does not guarantee publication.
