ABOUT CONCIERGE MEDICINE TODAY
The publication that's been
in your corner since before
most physicians knew this
model existed.
CMT is the independent trade publication and leadership platform for physicians building concierge and membership-based practices. We exist for one reason: to give physicians the clarity, tools, and community they need to build a practice worth building — and lead it with confidence.

“How do I lead better? How do I make my practice stronger? How do I become the kind of physician and business owner this model requires?”
Physicians exploring this model deserved better information than they were getting.
When CMT launched in 2007, information about concierge and membership medicine was scattered among inaccurate media reports, vendor-driven, or simply absent. Physicians who wanted to understand this model had no independent source to turn to — no publication that covered it without an agenda.
That's why CMT exists. Nearly two decades later, it remains the only independent trade publication dedicated exclusively to this space — covering the model honestly, without vendor influence, and without advocacy for any single approach.

HOW CMT GOT HERE

Launched as the first independent trade publication dedicated to concierge and membership-based medicine. The model had no independent voice. CMT became one.

2026
Nearly two decades in
800+ published articles, 500+ podcast episodes, CMF 2026 coming October. Still independent. Still physician-first.
The field grew. CMT stayed independent.
As concierge medicine moved from a niche curiosity to a recognized alternative to fee-for-service practice, the commercial interests in the space multiplied. Consulting groups, staffing companies, software vendors, and conversion services all developed stakes in how the model was described and promoted.
CMT never took that path. Editorial coverage, podcast participation, and article inclusion are determined by the editorial team based on relevance and educational value — not by sponsorship arrangements or vendor relationships.
"It is no longer about being the best doctor in the world, but about being the best doctor for the world — for patients, and for the local community."
— A guiding principle of CMT's editorial mission

CMT is not owned by a health system, staffing company, or vendor. We don't accept payment in exchange for editorial coverage. We don't offer paid speaking slots at our conference disguised as education. We don't recommend vendors who paid for the recommendation.
That independence is the reason physicians, journalists, and researchers have trusted CMT for nearly two decades — and it's not something we'll trade away.

CONCIERGE MEDICINE FORUM
EDITOR-IN-CHIEF · HOST
Michael Tetreault
Author · Speaker · Founder, Concierge Medicine Forum · Host, DocPreneur Leadership Podcast
Michael has spent nearly two decades as the editor of the only independent trade publication dedicated to concierge and membership medicine. He is a journalist by training, which means every article, every podcast episode, and every conference session CMT produces is driven by one question: what does this physician actually need to know? His work has been cited by academic medical centers, national media, peer-reviewed publications, and textbooks. He was recognized among the Top 16 Experts in Healthcare Best Practices & Innovation Insights by HealthCare Consumerism Outlook Magazine, received a Governor's Commendation for his contributions to concierge medicine education, and co-authored The Doctor's Guide to Concierge Medicine. He interviews physicians and healthcare leaders every week on the DocPreneur Leadership Podcast — not to fill airtime, but because the best education in this field still comes from the physicians who are actually doing the work.
